Day Off Scrapping

I have been able to scrap more in the last 6 weeks as I have managed to take Friday’s off work as there is no kids in.  This means scrapping time during the day which is normally only a weekend luxury, I also annoyingly get up the same time at weekends as I do on weekdays…..damn bodyclock, which means I can get started early.

I thought I show you June’s divider page which I completed with the use of my CAMEO, I keep promising myself a day to get it out and just play but that has not happened yet.  But I am doing some of the basic on it, which I am loving the ease of designing on it.  Here is the page in the planning stage in the CAMEO software…

And here is the page in the flesh.  I love how simple this was to create but how effective it looks, was great for using scraps up too.

I also completed another couple of LO’s, after a trip to the gym, using a variety of scraps I had on my table.  I really need to get my teeth in to the July and August SC kits and see what I can create with them.  I also have the Bramford Crop Challenge to work on too, but so far no inspiration!5c83ffbaee0211e195351231381b651f_6

Right on that note I am off to bed as I think we are going for a bike ride in Thetford forest tomorrow, weather permitting, I am thinking of the calories I will burn off, and the photo scrapping opportunities!!

Thanks for Looking, and have a great Bank Holiday Weekend.

Where has August gone?

I can not believe how quick August and the 6 week holidays have gone.  I had so much I want to get done and seems to have done so little on my list.

I thought I would stop by and show you what I have been up to since my last blog update.

I have had a big sort out of my photos on  my computer and backed them up, please  remember to back up photos regularly.  I then set about sorting out my monthly divider pages and a list of the LO that I want to create for each month01b8173eea0011e1934a123138141956_6

I then had a big sort out of my albums, I have decided to use my Amy Tangerine albums for my Document 2012, I now have January to July in one and August to December will be in the other.  I have an album for Paris and 2 for Barcelona and 2 for America.  I am also going to do an 8x8 album for our Harry Potter trip so lots on the go. Spy my new crop bag in the background as inspired by Ang and Janet from the Bramford crop, I love mine, so much room for stuff.

I have been doing some scrapping and experimenting  with some unusual colour combinations, this orange and turquoise won me over in the end, but it was touch and go.

Although I have neglected my blog slightly I have been spending lots of time surfing the blogs.  I have seen Amy Tangerine hand stitch words on her LO’s so I thought I would give it a go on my July 365 page.  I am really happy with the results I used embroidery floss and had a heavy weight card stock as my background.  It took a while but it is definitely something I will be doing again, I am planning my next LO already.

So that leaves it for this catch up I am hoping to get lots of time to scrap over the long weekend, mine is 4 days.  I just want to thank everyone who takes the time to read my blog and I hope it inspires you to get craft too.

Thanks for Looking

Blog Catch-up–Photo heavy

I have not forgotten my blog here, I just seem to spend less time on my laptop at the moment.  My evenings are spent preparing and cooking my dinner and then exercising.  I have also been on a bit of a book spree reading about 2 books a week.  I am still getting some scrapping done however just not as much as I used to.

I thought I would stop by and show some recent LO that I have completed.  I had a successful day at the Bramford crop on Saturday I got 4 LOs finish apart from the journaling.  I have also done a few more this week, it is nice coming home from work on time and not being to tired and having energy to do things.

This is the first LO for my Paris album, this was one of our silly faces photos that I scrap more and more!  I am not sure what album I am going to use for these photos yet, I think I need to have a swap around.  I order 100 photos today so looking forward to them arriving.  I have used Aldi (under recommendation from Christine at the Bramford Crop) they were extremely cheap, over £10 saving from using photobox!

I was really looking forward to scrapping these photos and had the title in mind before the LO came together.  I am using more and more kraft as background on my LO’s these days, and love how it looks with the bright colours.  The flamingo sticker is from AC and has been in my stash for over a year, waiting for the right time.

As you may have seen from previous post, I am not a fan of overly themed LO’s but I had saved this piece of paper in my stash waiting for this photo to be taken.  I have a temporary bike whilst the lads at work make me a new one, I have been out on it a few time and I am sure I will have more photos to go with the other papers I am saving.

I am not sure if this LO is finished the more I look at it the more I think it needs something.  I think once I will add the journaling I will see if it needs anything else.  This is another LO using Photobooth app photos, which I love.

This is my new favourite LO, using a mixture of Amy Tangerine for AC.  I posted this on Instagram and she commented on how cute it was, I was very excited by that fact!  This has all my favs, Photobooth pics, SC Veeners and Amy Tangerine.  I have pre-ordered some of her new range from stopandscrap.com,I got a good discount code to with 25% off.

This is another LO for my Barcelona Album, it need journaling adding to it, It has my favourite Basic Grey alphas on, I have 3 sheets!

Annoyingly this photo does not show the detail to well, I have used the CAMEO to cut the title out of the background cardstock and layered paper benath it.  I really like this effect and have seen it on so many peoples LO’s recently.  It is definatley something I will do again.  I also cut the 4x6 photo down here into a square, I am getting used to scrapping the square format at the moment and this photo did not lose anything by being cropped.

Well as you can see I am making progress slowly with my stack of photos and have more on the way.  I have been grouping photos into the divider page protectors to help make the album flow and tell the story of our trip.  I am hoping to get this Barcelona Album finished by October time and then I will start on my America album in more detail.  Of course I still have my Document 2012 album I am working on as well.

Hope everyone else is having a scrapping good time.

Thanks for looking
